These are one minute integrations of the area surrounding Barnard's Star. This star has a very high
proper motion. My intent will be to take an image each year to show this. Barnard's Star is a
a red dwarf (type M3.8 Ve) and has about 17% of our Sun's mass and only 15% of our Sun's radius.
It is a small dim object. This star is also very close to us at only 5.97 light-years. Image Dates: 11 July 2004 19 June 2005 17 June 2006 |
