M-81 Bode's Nebula

Subject:M-81 Bode's Nebula, a bright Sb I-II spiral galaxy in UMa. 8.5 million light-years distant.
Telescope:Takahashi CN-212 Newtonian Mode
Mount:Losmandy G-11
Imager:SBIG ST-7 non-E non-ABG CFW-8
Image Details:This is an LRGB composite image.
Luminance: 50 minutes
Red: 10 minutes
Green: 10 minutes
Blue: 24 minutes
All images had dark frames subtracted before combination.
An RGB layer was created in MaxIMDL then saved as a 16-bit TIF.
The luminance layer was created and then DDP applied to bring out fainter spiral arm details. This was then saved as a 16-bit TIF.
Both the RGB and Lum layers were opened in Photoshop where they were combined.
A slight Guassian blur was applied to the RGB layer.
