An RGB layer was created in MaxIMDL then saved as a 16-bit TIF. The luminance layer was created and then DDP applied to bring out fainter spiral arm details. This was then saved as a 16-bit TIF. Both the RGB and Lum layers were opened in Photoshop where they were combined. A slight Guassian blur was applied to the RGB layer. 21 February 2003. |
