| Image Details: | This is an addition of three 1 minute integrations. This is the only section of sky that I know of that contains two globular clusters close enough together as to be easily observed in the same field in amateur instruments. It is definitely worth looking for. Finding them is also easy, as they reside about 29 arc-minutes northwest from the spout of the Sagittarius teapot's spout, Alnasl. If you turn up the contrast on this image, you will note the dark nebulosity running throughout the area. There were so many stars, that autoguiding was impossible! 7/23/00. |
