| Subject: | Asteroid 2 Pallas. |
|---|---|
| Telescope: | Takahashi FSQ-106n f/5 |
| Mount: | Losmandy G-11 |
| Imager: | ST-7 non-E non-ABG |
| Image Details: | This is an animated GIF created
by making eleven 5-second integrations once every five minutes. The images
are raw: dark frames have not been subtracted and no flat fields were done.
The images were converted from FITS to JPG, cropped, then converted into an
animated GIF after alignment. The images were taken at the following UT times on the
night of 10 June 2001: 01:09 01:15 01:20 01:25 01:30 01:35 01:40 01:45 01:50 01:57 02:00 This was done primarily as a test of an automated script I was writing in MaxImCCD to handle asteroid searches while I was away in a warm, bug-free environment. It seemed to work well enough. During this time period, Pallas moved a total of 28 arc-seconds.
